If you are about to alter or extend a building or structure, thinking of putting up a new one or demolishing an existing one, then the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 place a number of specific duties on you. These rules apply to you whether you are a “Domestic Client” or a “Commercial Client” For all projects you are now required to appoint a Principal Designer before significant detailed design work starts so that they can advise and assist you with all of your duties and a Principal Contractor for the actual works”

As part of our services we will:

  • Ensure all parties have a clear understanding of their duties through constant communication and consultations.
  • Ensure that adequate arrangements are in place for managing the project.
  • Collect any surveys and reports required to pre-empt hazards associated with the works.
  • Prepare the Pre-Construction Information Document
  • Assess the suitability of the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of the Health and Safety File and collate information from Designers and Contractors.
  • Identify with the design team any foreseeable hazards which might affect the health, safety and welfare of those involved in the project.
